The Best Waffles

- 2 Eggs, separated

- 1 1/2 cups of Milk

- 1/2 cup of Vegetable Oil

- 1 3/4 cups of Flour

- 1 tablespoon of Baking Powder

- 1 tablespoon of Sugar

- 1 teaspoon of Salt

 

Lightly brush waffle grids with vegetable oil.  Close unit and preheat at Waffle setting.

 

In a small bowl, beat egg whites until stiff (not dry) and set aside.  In a large bowl, beat egg yokes until thick and lemon colored.  Continue beating, adding milk and vegetable oil.  Add dry ingredients.  Beat until smooth.  Fold in beaten egg whites.

 

Pour 1 cup of batter evenly on preheated grid.  Close unit and bake until the light goes out (approximately 5 minutes)

 

Makes 3 (4-section) waffles.
